Olamide  has signed two new artistes to his label, YBNL. The label boss took to Instagram to welcome the two new signees,  Limerick and Lyta, to the label. On his Instagram page, Olamide shared teasers of soon-to-be-released videos of the two new signees with himself as featured artistes on both songs. See his posts below.

DJ Cuppy , daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, has revealed that she doesn’t exploit her father’s influence to get things done like Davido does. The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) says it has yet to ban   Olamide ‘s controversial music dubbed ‘ Science Student ’ because it wasn’t done to promote hard drug consumption and other crimes, Daily Trust reports. Although there have been calls for the government to ban the album from being played on the airwaves and on TV stations, the NFVCB Director General, Alhaji Adedayo Thomas who spoke with Daily Trust on the sideline of the Safer Internet Day 2018 in Abuja, Tuesday said the song was done to discourage crimes. Alhaji Thomas said rather than looking only at the negative side of the album, Nigerians should look at the positive side. New photoshoot pictures of   Davido   and South African artiste, Black Coffee surfaced on the internet and it has since sparked rumors that the singers have signed a deal with an international brand. Davido further fueled the rumors when he quizzed his followers to guess what brand he recently signed up for. It appears the name of the brand has now been made public since a picture showing Black Coffee promoting a body spray, hit the internet. Black Coffee and Davido are believed to have signed a deal with the brand,   Axe   The brand has international acclaim and the deal means more money in Davido’s account, which is believed to already contain over 30 Billion Naira. The Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has slammed a Not-To-Be-Broadcast (NTBB) warning on  Olamide ‘s latest single “ Science Student .” Nigerian Tribune reports that the warning was served to all radio and television stations over the week. The Head of Public Affairs of the NBC, Hajia Maimuna Jihada told Tribune that the song was not out-rightly banned but prohibited from being played on local stations for public consumption. She said: ‘NBC does not ban music. Our mandate is on what goes on Radio and TV. Olamide’s Science Student has been declared ‘Unfit for broadcast’. She further went on to mention that the song’s subtle promotion of illegal drugs was the main reason for declaring it unlawful as she issued a stern warning to all broadcasting houses; ‘We have communicated all our licenses for compliance or they will face sanctions’

Reekado Banks  has tendered a public apology to  Lil Kesh  and fans who felt offended by his braggadocios comment at his ‘Thank You’ concert in Ibadan. At the concert, the singer said “I better pass him papa” in reference to the incident that happened at the venue of the 2015 Headies Awards where the debate on who deserves the Next Rated Award between him and Lil Kesh, led to a confrontation between  Don Jazzy  and  Olamide , and later caused a stir on social media.
